Galina gives her voice to the women of a generation; those of us who are just now realizing the weight and emotional cost of the many institutionalized, cultural, and societal constraints put upon our gender.

Her own awakening and self-exploration has been a guiding light for women to unlearn what we thought (and were taught) being a “good” woman, wife, mother, and daughter meant. She gives us a glimpse, and hope, of what putting ourselves first in every relationship—without shame and blame—looks like.
